We are looking for a high performing HR professional who has experience and in-depth knowledge of all things remuneration and benefits to join our close knit and engaged People and Culture Team.

The purpose of this role is to design, develop and manage our remuneration and benefit strategy, framework, policies and practices, ensuring we attract and retain the best available talent across our New Zealand and Australia business.

This will include the project management and execution of any new remuneration programmes, along with the provision of specialist remuneration advice that ensures Summerset has competitive and equitable remuneration practices and supports capability uplift amongst People Leaders and the wider People & Culture function.


Your key role responsibilities:

  • Develop the annual remuneration strategy and plan to ensure Summerset delivers a competitive total reward programme
  • Lead the design of salary structures, pay bands, and incentive programmes
  • Lead the job sizing approach for Summerset
  • Support the development of Summerset's Collective ER and bargaining strategy
  • Project manage the annual pay (salary and incentive) review process within Australia and NZ
  • Collaborate with People & Development Department to align remuneration programmes with Summerset's performance management framework.

Who are we looking for?

  • Indepth knowledge of remuneration practices and benefits administration in a large and complex, corporate environment (over 2000 employees).
  • Experience with job evaluation methodologies, salary structures, and incentive plan design.
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation.
  • Strong numeracy and analytic skills with the ability to interpret data and trends
  • Ability to collaborate crossfunctionally and influence stakeholders at all levels with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A tertiary qualification in HR, Business or another related discipline.
