Your Opportunity


Team Global Express New Zealand are on the hunt for a customer centric and solutions focused professional to lead their high performing Strategic Sales team.


The Head of Strategic Sales will build relationships and provide strategic direction to help the company grow and increase profitability.

The focus of this role will be to successfully develop and implement a customer engagement strategy.

In addition to this, the role will involve leading, developing, mentoring, and empowering the Strategic Sales team, at a National Level, to reach their sales potential and achieve business growth.


To be successful in this role, you will be a high performing people leader and a highly experienced sales professional with the ability to deliver valuable strategic solutions.

Furthermore, your exceptional customer engagement skills and ability to develop and maintain strong positive customer relationships will be imperative to your success in this role.

What you'll bring to this role

To be successful in this role, you could have the following experience:
Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and execute a customer engagement strategy that builds customers advocacy
  • Develop collaborative business plans with the Strategic Sales team to improve customer engagement
  • Maintain effective internal relationships to enhance and improve customer satisfaction
  • Act as an ambassador for the company both in the external market and within internal stakeholders, demonstrating best in class sales behaviour and delivery of excellent customer experience results
  • Ensure all sales activities are conducted in accordance with Team Global Express policies and legislation
  • Presenting market research and recommending strategies to improve market research
Key Skills & Experience

  • Senior Level strategic sales experience
  • Polished and professional executive presence
  • A strong background in the transport and freight industry (preferred)
  • Proven experience successfully leading and developing high performing teams
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain an effective network of contacts and build relationships at all levels of the organization internally and externally
  • Possess a customer centric, solutions focused mindset
  • Wellhoned negotiation and influential skills with strong commercial nous
  • An influential and highly effective communicator written and oral communication skills
  • Creative and an 'outofthebox' thinker
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a sense of urgency, in a fastpaced environment
