Manukau, Auckland, New Zealand Science New Zealand Full time

We are Toitū Envirocare (Enviro-Mark Solutions Limited), and chances are you've already interacted with our brands— Toitū carbonzero, Toitū carbonreduce, or Enviro-Mark.

You may have enjoyed carbonzero certified Yealands Wine or Steinlager beer, eaten Enviro-Mark Certified Abe's Bagels or used carbonzero certified ecotricity electricity, cleaned using Enviro-Mark Certified Eco Store products or at least know friends or family who have.

You may have wondered at times how organisations like Kathmandu, The Warehouse Group, Canterbury University and Westpac manage their carbon emissions.

The short answer is, it's our people.

We are proudly New Zealand's leading carbon reduction solution; however, our work isn't done yet Our aim is to encourage more organisations to start their journey with us to make New Zealand and the world more sustainable.

Intrigued?

The market for Toitū's services is growing rapidly.

Historically Toitū's customer base has mainly been organisations with a strong sustainability focus, wanting to demonstrate and substantiate their commitment to reducing emissions and following best practice.

More recently climate action has started to become mainstream.

As a result of these internal and external drivers, Toitū has undertaken a strategic review, and secured substantial funding for transformation.

One of the three transformation pillars is partnering. Historically Toitū has delivered most of its work through a high touch direct business model. There is one long-term licence partnership in the UK. And there are some tactical local partnerships in place.

The strategic opportunity is to extend Toitū's reach both domestically and internationally by deliberately building a partner business model.

This role is being established to lead and drive Toitū's strategic partnering capability, which is a critical component of the transformation programme.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

  • Own, shape and drive the partnering pillar of the strategic transformation programme, and work with the Programme Director to secure resources and deliver against the milestone plan.
  • Define and build a fitforpurpose partner accreditation framework.
  • Target partnerships that create innovative solutions to current unmet needs and challenges in the certification and environmental solutions marketplace.
  • Establish clear winwin commercial frameworks for partnerships.
  • Work with partners to growth their customer base and achieve both revenue and impact objectives.
  • Lead and manage the partnerships team, as it grows in line with the partner portfolio.
  • Lead the creation of repeatable partnering processes, in order to develop the most efficient delivery and reporting of partnering activities.

About You

  • Relevant degree or equivalent, preferably in commerce or business management.
  • Proven experience in a senior partnering role. Experience in building enduring and mutually beneficial strategic partner relationships.
  • 10+ years experience in business, including a substantial amount of time working with partners to deliver successful business outcomes.
  • Experience of transformation, particularly those with a digital focus, in both mature and complex business environments and emerging businesses.
  • Experience in fastgrowth organisations, able to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of a business to assess and recommend solutions that support business needs.
  • Proven ability to establish a partnering programme, with pace and scale.
  • Track record of delivering results through partners, commercially savvy and skilled.
  • Proven ability to achieve revenue targets and manage a revenue profit and loss position.
  • Ability to engage constructively with a wide range of stakeholders, including Government, Boards and Executive Teams, partners, technical experts, standardssetters, etc.
  • Ability to learn quickly and operate in an ambiguous and fastmoving landscape.
  • Excellent communication skills through all media.
  • A knowledge of and empathy with Te Reo and Tikanga Māori.

Why Toitū Envirocare?
Toitū Envirocare is New Zealand's leading provider of environmental certification.

We help organisations in New Zealand and internationally to accurately measure, manage, and minimise their carbon footprints and environmental impacts.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Manaaki Whenua - Landcare Research, our clients include many iconic brands.
