About the role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

Our People and Culture are looking for a Senior Advisor Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Security, based in our Wellington Office.

Reporting to our Manager, People and Culture (P&C) with a dotted line reporting to the DCE, this permanent role will implement the strategy and plans for all health, safety, wellbeing and secuirty initiatives across the Commission.

The salary band for this role is $98-$115k

As an experienced Health, Safety, and Security professional, you will have the ability to build strong relationships across the Commission and bring key stakeholders on a health, safety, and security journey.

You will enjoy working in a diverse, fast-paced, busy environment. You will contribute to and influence towards a constructive, positive, and collaborative work environment.
What you'll be doing | He aha tāu e mahi ana

  • Provide advice and support to enable health, safety, wellbeing, and security practices to be considered in how work is designed and performed.
  • Maintain all health, safety, and security management systems.
  • Participate in early planning for activities and events.
  • Implement returntowork process and returntowork reporting for our people.
  • Develop and maintain procedures to monitor and measure service delivery for injury, claims, and security incidents.
  • Driving continual improvement in health, safety, wellbeing, and security.
  • Provide reporting as required to stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed | Ko ngā mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitū

  • Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent work experience in Occupational Health, Safety, or Security practice.
  • Experience within a similar health, safety, and security role.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
