We are looking for a Senior Investment and Funding Advisor (Below Rail) to join our Government Relations, Policy, and Funding Team.

This team is responsible for developing rail policy, securing funding, and reporting to funders on KiwiRail's strategic capital investment programme.


What you'll do


The Senior Investment & Funding Advisor role provides advice and input to support KiwiRail's strategic capital programme and associated funding.

The role will include a mix of responsibilities that span the full capital investment programme and may also include project work within individual areas as required (e.g. Rail Network Investment Programme (RNIP)).

Some of these responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining financial and funding models.
  • Business case modelling and writing.
  • Programme and portfolio management and control.
  • Maintaining oversight of compliance with funding arrangements.
  • Investment portfolio and project support and expert advice.

What you'll need

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial/advisory experience.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, including solid excel modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to present confidently to senior managers.
  • Commerce degree or equivalent.
  • Solid experience in programme coordination/management, analysis, and/or investment advice.
