Our dedicated Volunteering team are seeking a
Volunteer Coordinator with a genuine interest in providing a positive impact in the community.

Your primary objective will be to recruit, orientate, train, support and retain a team of volunteers that will result in successful one to one friendship and skill-based learning for people with intellectual disability.

You will be working directly with volunteers out in the community, connecting them with people who have an intellectual disability.


This is a great opportunity to work for a genuinely caring and community-oriented organisation as well as work with a welcoming and warm team of colleagues.

It is rewarding to feel at the end of the working day that you have made a real difference

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in volunteering and/or a strong sense of community engagement
  • Experience within a volunteering leadership role would be an advantage but not essential
  • Previous experience within recruitment, performance management, team management, coaching and mentoring others
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Reliability and the ability to selfmanage effectively
  • Previous experience in delivering presentations and public speaking
  • Confidence to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Full NZ Driver's License
  • Have the legal right to work in New Zealand
