An exciting opportunity now exists for Support Leads to work at the Auckland Operations Centre plus the brand new Auckland Processing Centre from April 2024.

You might recognise this role as a Charge Hand - the roles are very similar.

The purpose of this role is to support our high performing processing team who are responsible for international parcel and mail processing at the International Mail Centre.

You'll engage and support the team by communicating and setting objectives.

The Support Lead is also responsible for ensuring NZ Post's parcel and mail product is processed in a timely and efficient manner.

This includes meeting consistently high service standards through effective management of parcel flow and continuous improvement. You'll also manage the accurate and timely capture of data ensuring all systems are updated as per operational requirements.

Reporting to and acting as a 2IC to the Floor Manager, you'll provide support in leading the team in accordance with NZ Post's values and vision as well as managing resources within the operational needs and budget for the Processing area.

You will need to be the type of person who takes a hands-on approach, demonstrating a commitment to safety and fostering a high performing, positive team culture.

  • Monday to Friday: 22:00 06:30

This position will move to the Auckland Processing Centre in April 2024

  • Current or previous leadership experience
  • Demonstrate confident computer skills
  • Show a solid understanding of logistics management
  • Demonstrate awareness in safety systems and compliance in an operational environment
  • Have an understanding of National transport network
  • Have knowledge of longhaul transport networks
