Day to day responsibilities

  • Complete assessments of older adults referred by rest home staff – could be for acute injuries, falls, declining mobility/function etc.
  • Assess new residents to the site.
  • Complete falls risk assessments and provide input to help prevent falls.
  • Assess residents for appropriate mobility aids.
  • Provide updates to rest home staff on the safest way to complete transfers with residents.
  • Manual handling training of staff
  • Liaise with members of the MDT within the rest home environment to meet the needs of the residents.

Your background

  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience preferred. Ideally you would have experience within a rest home environment, but this is not essential Full training can be provided for the right candidate – new grads welcome to apply
  • Happy to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications, professional registration, and valid practicing certificate
  • Current full NZ driver's licence
  • Be passionate about the health and care of our ageing population
