21 January 2023Our client is looking for a Senior AND Principal Advisor to provide cross agency leadership on regulatory stewardship.

You will join a pioneering and varied work programme, which has policy, strategy and operational responsibilities.

Under this team you will play a key part on thinking about regulation, and lifting living standards in New Zealand.


About the role:

  • Responsible for the overall regulatory policy framework and its conceptual underpinnings
  • Advising on legislation and the design of regulatory instruments on a broad range of areas
  • Leading the governance, monitoring and ongoing care of regulatory systems
  • Overseeing and running the Regulatory Impact Analysis
  • Lead multiple projects addressing issues across regulatory systems
  • Provide advice to agencies and stakeholders

Your skills:

  • Excellent EQ skills, able to communicate to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Good understanding of project management and implementing legislation changes in a regulatory
setting

  • Extensive experience working in policy or regulatory roles
  • Analytical thinker and able to solve complex problems
  • Ability to mentor and coach junior staff
  • Critical thinker through debate
