Job Description:
The Opportunity
We need a switched on and motivated National Quarry Support Engineer to join the Fulton Hogan team in the Waikato region.
In this role, you'll see yourself responsible for providing technical and planning support to the regions to enable them to better manage and operate the quarries.
On a day-to-day basis you'll focus on longer term planning for resource extraction and development using quarry planning software as well as, long term consenting matters, environmental planning and compliance and plant design improvements.
Additionally, you will be involved in other projects to assist in the improvement of quarry operations and the opportunity for personal development will be an integral part of the role.
What you'll bring to the tableWe're looking for someone with preferably a minimum of 3 years quarry industry or civil construction experience. You'll be a critical thinker with well-developed deductive reasoning abilities and an enthusiastic team player with sound communication skills.
Finally, you'll have a geology or engineering/surveying degree OR an A or B grade quarry managers and of course be driven and passionate about your work with a can-do attitude and be ready to keep building your career.
