**Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving innovation and managing complex engineering projects?**

We have an exciting opportunity to an experienced Engineering Product Manager to join this dynamic team. The role will call upon both your technical knowledge and commercial skills, as you work as the link between the Sales Manager, Engineering teams and end users to develop solutions and support existing products. Your collaborative approach will help define product requirements, develop roadmaps and ensure successful execution of the product strategy.

**Who will you be working for?**
Kayasand, a New Zealand based company, who design and build hi-tech processing plants for manufacturing premium concrete sand, in New Zealand and Australia. Their plants process crusher dust and recycled materials to make the best quality manufactured concrete sand in the world, with substantial economic benefits to quarries and concrete plants.

Kayasand sand offers quarries and concrete plants the opportunity to supply building materials with strong environmental credentials, no wastewater and lower carbon emissions.

**What will you be doing?**
- **Understand the Market - **you will become the Subject Matter Expert by spending time in the market with customers and channel partners. You will identify and quantify opportunities, taking the lead as the “Product Owner’ to define key requirements and validate solutions with end users.
- **Product Ownership** - including involvement in new product idea management through to execution, you will also monitor and report on product performance with respect to sales.
- **Product Marketing** - you will collaborate marketing initiatives. By understanding your customers, provide support to the sales team in the creation of marketing tools and support the sales process.

**What are we seeking?**
This role could suit a Product Development Engineer looking to step into a more commercially focused role, or someone from within a Product Management or Marketing role who has an engineering bent and isn’t scared about getting into the technical nitty gritty of the product.

This will be backed up with:

- A tertiary qualification in technology / engineering, business or marketing.
- Experience in project management and working with cross-functional teams.
- Considered thinker, with a strong understanding of key drivers for the business, industry and market, to develop strategies and solutions.
- A self-starter and have a high degree of initiative to work independently and identify key opportunities.
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
