We have a new exciting permanent leadership opportunity to join Te Hononga - Māori Crown Partnerships team.

Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role This new role will focus on actively supporting the Deputy Secretary lead our Māori Crown Partnerships business group.

You are specifically accountable for the effective management of Te Tai Whakaea Settlement Stories, Taonga Tūturu, and Māori heritage research and content.

Kōrero mōu | About you You are comfortable influencing people up, down and across the organisation; you are looking to the future and managing in the present; and you are working autonomously and within a broader leadership team.

As a leader you can see what's possible and you know how to deliver it through your team.

You can see the potential in people and know how to get the best out of each person in a way that benefits them and the organisation.

You recognise and harness the power of the collective.

This means you see and make connections across all Manatū Taonga work and ensure that what we do is well informed by the Crown's Treaty obligations.

You work with your leadership team to manage risks and capitalise on opportunities so our organisation, and the system we are stewards of, is responsive, sustainable, and strong.

Given this is a leadership role, it is essential that you are committed to encouraging and supporting your peers to progress their own development of te reo and tikanga Māori as the Ministry works to build our cultural capability in te reo and tikanga Māori together.
