Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role

The Principal Adviser is part of the Curriculum Publishing Channels team and is responsible for providing strategic advice and planning relating to Curriculum Publishing Channels.

They have a significant role in the delivery of curriculum tools and resources that support teaching and learning outcomes, in English and Māori medium, from early learning to senior secondary settings.

The Principal Adviser will play a significant role in managing a new online channel for curriculum content and resources that will soon be released.

They will provide advice and support to the Senior Manager.

To be successful in the role, you will have or be able to develop a breadth of skills across the following capabilities;

  • Curriculum content development using inclusive and user centric approaches
  • Knowledge of digital and print publishing channels
  • Knowledge of education settings from early learning to senior secondary across English and Māori medium settings
  • Cultural and diversity awareness
  • Contract management, procurement and IP knowledge
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering
