MFAT's Health, Safety and Wellbeing team is looking for a Well-being Adviser to provide frontline well-being advice.

Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role


Reporting to the Health, Safety and Well-being Manager within the wider People Division team, you will be responsible for the delivery of sound well-being advice, coordinate well-being programmes and contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of Health, Safety and Well-being strategy and wider programmes of work.

As part of this role you will provide frontline well-being advice to our people based here at home and abroad.


  • Provide technical wellbeing advice to leaders and employees.
  • Contribute to the development of and coordinate wellbeing programmes.
  • Assist in developing and delivering health and wellbeing training.


The appointment range for this role is $70,637 to $83,102 total remuneration including employer contribution to Kiwisaver - negotiable depending on experience.

If you are an entry level Well-being Adviser and have the ability to influence, communicate across an organisation with a variety of stakeholders, enjoy working in a fast paced environment, and working closely with other health, safety and well-being professionals, you might be exactly the person we're looking for

To be successful for this role you'll have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practice approaches to employee well-being and the implementation of these within the workplace.
  • Experience supporting the development and delivery of workplace wellbeing initiatives within corporate government departments or large multidisciplinary organisations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • Experience in use of Microsoft suite and be confident with project coordination.
  • Demonstrated customer focus with the ability to build effective working relationships.
