Café Manager

Responsibilities:

Ø Reporting to the Employer regarding the performance of the café

Ø Managing staff, including training, instructing, assessing and providing ongoing feedback

Ø Procuring, recording and managing stock in relation to the café's operation

Ø Maintaining the budget and accounting records for the café

Ø Supervising, maintain and planning the products provided by the café, including working with staff in relation to the menu and determining pricing

Ø Maintaining the physical premises of the café, including responsibility for cleanliness, security, layout, furniture and other general responsibilities

Ø Communicating with staff and customers to promote the operations of the café

Ø Providing occasional front-of-house services, such as greeting customers and generally assisting wait-staff

Ø Ensuring the café complies with all legal requirements, including health and safety legislation

Requirements:

Ø Relevant Diploma or above tertiary qualification in business, management or hospitality

Ø Or minimum 3-year verifiable experience in related industry

Ø Team player with leadership aspirations

Ø Be honest and reliable, able to work unsupervised

Ø Outstanding communication skills, highly organized

Ø Effective time management and passion for hospitality

Ø Positive attitude, enthusiastic, outgoing, fast on your feet and clean

Ø High attention to detail and be able to identify areas of improvement
