We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Performance Hub team, which sits in the Organisational Strategy and Performance Group within System Leadership.

Mō te tūnga | About the role

As our Senior Analyst, your role is to develop performance monitoring tools, systems, and frameworks to support the organisation in improving the delivery of services and outcomes for tamariki, rangatahi and whānau.

You will work collaboratively across the business to provide an integrated view of performance for senior leaders. This includes developing key measures and reporting products that help demonstrate progress against our strategic direction.

Your robust analysis and insights will support Te Riu to make informed decisions about organisational performance, future priorities, and allocation of resources.

You will also support other teams to develop performance reporting capability, systems and processes that align the business to our strategic direction.

You will therefore play a key role in shaping the performance story of Oranga Tamariki, by ensuring the information you produce is innovative, user-focused, accurate and engaging.

Annual remuneration for this position starts from $103,316 dependent on experience, with annual progression through tenure.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

For you to be successful in this role you will ideally bring:

  • Previous experience in corporate reporting at an organisational or large group level
  • Previous experience developing tools and systems to monitor and report performance
  • Understanding of and a genuine interest in public sector accountability and management practices
  • Natural curiosity, strong critical thinking and analytical skills and the ability to connect at all organisational levels and across different professional fields
  • A strong customer focus and passion for working with others to solve complex problems in a fastpaced and changing environment
  • Highly effective written and oral presentation and communications skills
  • Experience in PowerBI and associated Power Platform tools is considered advantageous
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is preferred
  • Understanding and appreciation of crosscultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
