Who will you be working for?


McCallum Industries, makers of the Only Organics and Palm ranges of products, is an entrepreneurial and adaptable manufacturer of food products destined for both local and export markets.

Their complex manufacturing environment offers considerable technical challenge for an experienced and versatile Maintenance Engineer.

There are no silos in this business:

instead you'll be working as part of a team providing end to end maintenance cover from diagnostics to problem resolution.


So, if you are a practical, hands-on Engineer with a breadth of experience, coupled with initiative and drive (and preferably EST registration which enables you to add greater value to the business) I'd love to hear from you.


What will you be doing?
This is a hands-on role.

As part of a small team you will have responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance of the machinery (planned and unplanned) as well as ongoing improvement projects to ensure plant availability and increase plant reliability and performance.


Who are we looking for?

  • Ideally you will be a dualtrades Engineer, or are a Mechanical Engineer with EST registration.
  • Experience working in the food (or related) sector, and an understanding of Food Safety and H&S requirements.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple or conflicting priorities in a deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A common sense, practical approach to problem solving, in addition to a proactive cando attitude.
