A little more about the role:

The Network Access Manager leads a team that ensures employees, contractors and service providers have the necessary competencies to access and operate our electricity network safely.

Key components of the role include producing and maintaining technical network documents specifically involving Operating procedures, Operating standards, Technical specifications (operational aspects), Switchgear operating instructions while assisting facilitation of Network Training and developing key competencies, and acting as the Orion/Transpower interface.


A little more about you?


You will have a background in developing technical electrical (both high and low voltage) procedural documentation and experience in interpreting regulation based rule changes into practical operational procedures for employees, contractors and service providers.


In addition you will have:

  • 7 years' experience in a similar role with strong leadership skills
  • An NZQA level six or level seven electrical engineering qualification such as B.E., N.Z.C.E. or NDE or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience
  • NZ electrical registration with a current practicing license
  • Knowledge of the following: Electricity Act, regulations, and codes of practice; Health Safety at Work Act and Resource Management Act
  • Sound knowledge of the transmission/distribution system
  • Holds a current Class 1 Drivers Licence
  • Experience in the construction, maintenance and operation of electrical networks would be an advantage
