A little bit about the role


As a Commercial Finance Business Partner, you will primarily be driving wider commercial thinking and robust decision making, helping to create a culture that considers different perspectives and the need to balance immediate and longer term goals.

This is a high level role where you will manage a couple of Financial Analysts, your ability to truly add value to commercial decision making will be crucial.


Some of the key duties include:

  • Financial and Strategic support to the business regarding costs and revenue.
  • Identify and understand partnership opportunities across key content suppliers and beyond.
  • Partner directly with the finance team and central FP&A groups to collaborate on metrics and goals to drive successful commercial outcomes.
  • Create presentations that provide insightful analysis to help in key decision making.
  • Leading the financial planning cycle for the business unit and implementing strategy through business planning and performance accountability frameworks.
  • Key support to prepare and provide investment appraisals.
  • Key commercial support to provide insights to drive the growth of the advertising revenue stream

So who are you and what is your profile
You will be a CA/CPA qualified accountant with at least 10 years proven business partnering experience. You also need to have a number of years experience managing and developing a team of your own.


Given the pace and nature of the work involved you need to be approachable, respected as an expert in your area and have a strong ability to delegate tasks and prioritise.

The role also demands curiosity in big data and technology and how to utilise them in the most effective and empowering way.


Ideally you come from a media, tech or telcos environment and you have a strong handle on capex and capital management.
