Are you digitally savvy? Do you enjoy working with a diverse group of people, ensuring training is fit for purpose, and future focused? As a Learning Advisor at Electra, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing performance through effective training programs.

You'll manage the selection, coordination, and at times, the delivery and evaluation of training curricula across Electra. Additionally, you'll support organisational development activities, including compliance training, people surveys, reports, and action plans, contributing to a rewarding employee experience.

Other responsibilities, include:

• Design, develop and delivery of training programmes that meet required outcomes, including content creation, content delivery, and sourcing best practice training programmes and e-learning modules

• Support the creation, implementation, and upkeep of the learning competencies framework, alongside the GM, People Safety and Culture, and wider People, Safety and Culture team

• Take the lead in creating, refining, and overseeing a range of learning materials that serve to boost skills, grab everyone's attention, and ensures compliance with both legal and industry regulations

• Managing employee compliance. Ensuring that all relevant certifications and registrations are current and lodged

• Aligning learning to meet NZQA and other defined quality and standards.

• Overseeing the administration of Electra's learning module within the HRIS, including course enrolment, tracking training progress, generating reports, and maintaining training records

• Work with stakeholders to provide timely information, advice, and support to all Electra employees in relation to the requirements of the learning curriculum and capability framework.

As our ideal candidate you will have:

Technical:

• Extensive working knowledge of contemporary and relevant, training needs assessment, learning methodologies and delivery formats, preferably within the Utilities or related regulated environment.

• A solid understanding of adult education principles

• A sound knowledge of digital learning tools, e-learning products and systems, with the aim of implementing these into our business

• A Tertiary level qualification in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related field with a minimum of two years practical experience as a Learning/Training Advisor

• Sound knowledge of HRIS/LMS as they pertain to the delivery of key learning outcomes within a commercial environment

People:

• Excellent planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills

• A high level of computer literacy as it pertains to LMS/HRIS (Ideally ELMO) and the MS Office Suite

• Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to lead multiple and competing initiatives

• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail

• Patience, consistency and having the ability to cater for many different learning styles and levels, including English as a Second Language
