Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role As our Product Owner - Consumer you will lead a technology delivery team to provide the ongoing development, maintenance and support of the technology that enables Domestic and International sending in NZ Post's retail network.


You will enable the team to optimise delivery of value through a clearly articulated and transparent backlog of work and create solutions with a customer focused mindset.


The Consumer technology domain is essential to making NZ Post the most convenient choice for sending customers and with a recent significant investment in our retail technology platform you will assist in leveraging that technology to revolutionise our retail customer.


Mōu - About you Our ideal person for this role will bring a customer-led philosophy to the team and be able to convey a vision, strategy and roadmap for each of the products that sit within the Consumer portfolio.

Stakeholder relationships are a vital facet of Product Ownership at NZ Post so you will be comfortable building rapport and trust at all levels of the organisation.

Agile working is in our DNA and you will be experienced in leading a team using Agile principles, frameworks and delivery methods.

Alongside the above, you'll couple this with;

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a software development environment.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong understanding of agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
