About the Role

This role reports to the Team Leader - Data/Development. The team is made up of Data Analysts and Data Warehouse Developers at varying levels of experience.

This role will be responsible for providing data warehouse analysis and expertise to support business initiatives and information reporting needs.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Designs, implements and maintains complex data engineering solutions to acquire, prepare and present data.
  • Applies data engineering standards and tools to create and maintain data pipelines and extract, transform and load data.
  • Plans and drives the development of data engineering solutions ensuring that solutions balance functional and nonfunctional requirements.
  • Contributes to organisational policies, standards and guidelines for data engineering.
  • Ensures adherence to technical strategies and architectures.
  • Applies knowledge of software development lifecycle and testing practices.
  • Carries out Unit testing.

What we are looking for:

This is a great opportunity for someone who has some good experience as a Junior Data Warehouse Developer and is looking to move to a more intermediate role or someone who has been working as a Data Warehouse Developer and is looking for their next challenge.


The position holder will have:

  • 12+ years of technology experience that includes handson software development, data engineering
  • Experience utilising MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS
  • Good understanding of cloudbased data warehousing and ELT/ETL techniques and processes
  • Experience in SQL optimization and performance tuning, and development experience in programming languages like Python
  • Experience using Agile principles and techniques
  • Experience with version control systems like Github and deployment & CI tools

The salary range for this position starts from $85,434 up to $100,511+ depending on demonstrable skills and experience.
