Senior Programme Advisor - Risk Specialist

Opportunity to be part of an exciting Transformation journey for MSD
MSD's Transformation Office is responsible for leading the strategic management of MSD's enterprise programmes of work, (the Integrated Work Programme and Te Pae Tawhiti Programme).
The Transformation Office are a team of trusted experts and advisors, offering support and guidance to MSD in value delivery and transformation, while being the custodians of enterprise information as a single source of truth, using data to provide insight to aid in problem-solving and decision support, and sponsoring effective ways of working for change delivery.
Te āhua o te tūranga / About the role
We have a mature, risk aware culture at the Ministry, with tools, guidelines and templates that are in line with best practice.
The role will also support other Transformation Office functions, (such as quality assurance, value management and governance), as needs arise and as capacity allows.
If you have experience of providing risk management advice in a fast-moving programme setting, we would like to hear from you.
**You will do this by**:
- supporting the programmes workstreams to identify and assess risks and facilitating risk identification and review workshops.
- ensuring that workstreams are following a robust process using MSD standards, guidelines, tools and templates; and
- encouraging a culture which is risk aware.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
- a good understanding of the value that risk management plays in a large change Programme
- excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
- an understanding of delivering projects and programmes and experience of delivering risk and issue advice in a fast-moving setting
- the confidence to provide advice relating to risk, controls, and mitigation strategies and to facilitate workshops and training sessions
- an understanding of the government and public sector environment, systems, processes and strategic risks and issues facing government and the Ministry

Position Description
**Salary range**: $99,546.00 - $120,778.00
