We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, proactive, fun-seeking individual to join our dynamic team at our Te Matariki Clendon Community Centre
.


As an Activation Advisor within our Recreation team, you will play a crucial role in fostering engagement and driving participation within our community.

You will be responsible for developing strategies to activate community members, increase their involvement, and maintain a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.

This role requires a blend of creative thinking, strategic planning, and excellent collaborative and communication skills.


Please note as our Centre plays a vital role in supporting our local community recreational activity events throughout the year, flexibility to sometimes work a variety of shifts between the hours of 9AM to 9PM is essential.


This is a hands-on role assisting our overall recreations team plan and deliver our Out of School Care (OSCAR) and holiday programmes, risk assessment and risk management to ensure the highest possible standards of Health and Safety are met.

About you


Part of an energetic and proactive team, you are a keen team player with a flexible approach and an ability to use your initiative to assist in our innovative and exciting programmes.


The ideal applicants will be passionate about sports and recreation as well as possessing or working towards obtaining a relevant qualification within the field.

You'll also be a strong swimmer and be willing to upskill in this area.


Previous experience working within the community and youth in a recreational based capacity is preferred however, it is not a discounting factor as we will be happy to support and train the right person tools of the trade.

A full, clean class 1 licence is a must due to the nature of the role.
