At Whakaata Māori, we embrace our role as a waka, driven by our passion to preserve and promote Māori stories, language, and culture.

TUKU is a brand and platform name that provides digital content to Rangatahi. It is a space for young people to see themselves, have a distinct voice, and share their perspectives.

He kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role

  • Actively participate in delivery of the TUKU strategy
  • Create short form content that targets rangatahi audiences
  • Piloting of ideas for exciting TUKU content which may transition to long format productions
  • Actively contribute content ideas to meet and/or build audiences, and meet other relevant requirements
  • Provide insight to inform the creative process
  • Work alongside other team members to deliver relevant short form content in a fastpaced exciting environment

He kōrero mōu ake | About you

  • Has experience in multiple content creation craft skills
  • Understanding of programming across all genres
  • Has a Degree or Diploma in media or other relevant qualifications
  • Has experienced in interviewing, scripting, editing and producing
