Cyber Incident Responder
In a world where our adversaries operate without rules or borders, the Government Communications Security Bureau's (GCSB) mission to secure New Zealand's most valuable information has never been more relevant.
- Receive notifications about high impact cyber security incidents and gather the required information to triage and evaluate them
- Carry out investigations, sometimes onsite
- Work closely with victim organisations and teams across the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) to understand the risk associated with these incidents
- Leverage your strong technical and analytical skills to determine what transpired during an intrusion
- Provide evidence based tactical and strategic mitigation advice as you manage the incident through its lifecycle
You will also have direct contact with both domestic and international agencies, so your ability to quickly build strong relationships and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders is key.
A background in IT, cyber security, digital forensics or incident management would be advantageous and would enable you to excel in a highly collaborative environment.
