Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced registered nurse with a high level of knowledge and skills in supporting people accessing mental health and addictions services with a person and whanau centred care approach.
An ability to manage and support planning for complex presentations along with providing leadership and support during crisis situations is essential.
In addition, this role will take a lead on quality improvements and play an integral role in practice growth of students, early career nurses and nurses new to community practice.
Supporting initiatives to improve outcomes for Maori receiving service will be a key area of focus for this role.Click here

Mōu | About you
- Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role:
- Significant clinical experience, ideally with community mental health experience or clear transferable skills-
- Expertise to support tangata whaiora with high and complex needs in the community and their whanau-
- Expert level of practice in accordance with the Professional Development and Recognition Programme or working towards this-
- Post graduate qualification (ideally diploma or higher) in mental health and addiction-
- Capable of leading quality initiatives and developing policy and procedures-
- Involved in research, teaching and innovation that has changed clinical practice-
- Skills and knowledge to support early career nurses and nurses new to the community mental health environment-
- Knowledge and understanding of talking therapies-
- Knowledge and understanding of co-existing problems i.e. mental health and addiction and physical health needs***

The Central South team's area includes the southern half of urban Hamilton out to Raglan on one side and out to Matamata via Cambridge and including Waharoa on the other side.
The Central North team's area includes the northern half of urban Hamilton out to Huntly and Ngaruawhia and the other side out to Morrinsville area.
