About our client:
A vibrant Christian community where individuals with disabilities live together in residential homes or with support in their own residences. An engaging day program is offered with active community involvement, fostering integration into broader social activities both within and beyond their premises. At the heart of their ethos is empowerment, enabling individuals to make informed choices. Relationships and family connections are valued and welcomed through regular events and celebrations to foster a sense of belonging and shared everyday experiences.

The role:
With four direct reports within the management team, and a wider team of 32 people, you will provide overall operational leadership for their community of adults with a disability, 22 who live in shared homes and several adults supported in their own homes. Reporting to the Board of Trustees you will lead the faith-based vision and be the outward face of the organisation.
  • Team and community management including strategic planning, recruitment and HR
  • Financial, budgetary control and fortnightly payroll
  • Health and safety adherence
  • Governance and reporting, monthly Board and fortnightly team leadership meetings
  • Participation in the on-call roster for one week in five, from 5pm to 8am weekdays, all day Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays
  • Coordination of events and celebrations
Skills and experience:
  • Demonstrated ability to manage people and organisations
  • Effective experience and background to lead a faith-based community
  • Relevant experience in the disability sector is preferred
  • Significant financial experience in a non-profit environment
  • Proven leader who engages and fosters a respectful and supportive environment with a collaborative and transparent approach
