About the role:

This role allows you to take ownership of the entire milling & wheat manufacturing production side of the business. You will have the support of your very experienced peers and the wider company to draw knowledge & resources from. This is a full time 40 hour per week role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Determining, implementing and monitoring production strategies, policies and plans
  • Planning details of production activities in terms of output quality and quantity, cost, time available and labour requirements
  • Controlling the operation of production plant and quality procedures through planning of maintenance, designation of operating hours and supply of parts and tools
  • Monitoring production output and costs, and adjusting processes and resources to minimise costs
  • Informing other managers about production matters
  • Overseeing the acquisition and installation of new plant and equipment
  • Directing research into production methods, and recommending and implementing initiatives
  • Controlling the preparation of production records and reports
  • Coordinating the implementation of occupational health and safety requirements
  • Directing staff activities and monitoring their performance

About you:

You are a Flour Miller by trade who has advanced into people management, you can now confidently say you are an experienced FMCG Manufacturing Production Manager, with a minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience. You are looking for a broader role where you can round out your commercial & people management skills, with a view to succession planning into the next Site Manager role.

You are proactive, enjoy getting the best out of your people while providing positive results for your stakeholders, with a focus on quality. Communication and practicality are key to this role.

You hold a City & Guilds / NABIM – Technical Cereal Miller Qualification.

As part of the selection process, you will be required to undergo a health/medical check, a Ministry Of Justice Criminal Conviction check and provide recent, relevant reference checks.
