About the role

To support our operation, we have a highly dedicated and motivated maintenance team who work in a well-supported workshop based at Orams Marine Village. Our maintenance team provide maintenance services on a range of high-speed ferries and wharf facilities. The primary purpose of this position is to minimise service disruptions to the network through the diagnosis and resolution of targeted planned and unplanned maintenance.

In this role you'll report to Electrical Team Leader and form part of a team of Marine Electricians.

Standard Monday to Friday hours are 7am - 3.30pm but you must be willing to work extended hours when required and form part of the afterhours on call roster (every fifth week). As a 7 day a week business, flexibility with days and hours is a must.

About you

To be considered for this position, you'll be a NZ registered electrician with at least 2 years industrial or marine experience.

Ideally, you'll have knowledge on or exposure to the following:

• Previous experience conducting electrical maintenance tasks on diesel engines, generators, vessel systems including bilges, pumps, fuel systems, transmission and hydraulic systems.
• Previous experience with vessel electrical systems including navigation equipment, lighting and cafe equipment.
