About the Role

As the Asset and Configuration Manager you will be accountable for the entire configuration process, ensuring the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) currency and accuracy of information for a high-profile Datacom customer.

You will also be responsible for producing service metrics and carrying out performance reporting analysis, ensuring high-quality service from a people, process and technology perspective so a working knowledge of Excel and experience in data analysis is preferred.

We are not necessarily looking for an experienced Asset and Configuration Manager in this instance (in fact, no configuration management experience is necessary), and are just as keen to speak to someone that can work well under and learn from one as we are to someone that has carried out the role for a given amount of time.

The role therefore will suit someone with IT skills and knowledge wanting to move into a configuration management position as well as someone who has been carrying out the role already but wants to try their hand at it in a large-scale organisation.

Auckland and Wellington-based applicants are preferred but we will consider anyone in NZ (only NZ Residents will be considered for this role).

What You'll Do

  • Govern the SACM Policies and Process, manage the procedures documented in the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) document.
  • Review and maintain CMP documentation.
  • Establish and maintain the customer's Data Model and CI's in the CMDB.
  • Be able to build strong business relationships is key as you work closely with the customer and vendor partners along with the delivery teams based on trust and delivery.
  • Perform Service Mapping.
  • Produce and distribute statistical reporting on current activity, trends and process metrics, service level performance and customer specific reporting.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and experiences, own and take action on issues effectively and efficiently.
What You'll Bring

  • Entry level experience in configuration and asset management function.
  • Understanding of ITIL Framework.
  • Good knowledge of asset and configuration management within a large organisation.
  • Sufficient understanding of technologies to ensure all assets and CI's are accounted for.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and maintenance of asset reporting.
  • Team player who is selfmotivated and able to work autonomously.
  • Quick learner and high level of accuracy with data manipulation.
  • Keen to deliver strategic value to our business and looking for the next step in your career to join a fast growing ANZ team.
