This is a full-time, permanent position from Monday to Friday with a minimum of 40 hours guaranteed per week

We are currently seeking to employ a National Fleet Coordinator to our Finance Business Support team based in Mt. Wellington.

In this role, you will ensure Omexom New Zealand fleet of vehicles are fit for purpose, maintained and in compliance with all statutory regulations.

About the Role

Overall responsibility of vehicle data base and coordination of vehicle administrators, fleet coordinators.

Setting specifications, sourcing comparative quotes, adhering to financial approval processes and procuring, delivering and handing over of vehicles to departments.

Recommending and arranging purchase or lease of new and replacement lease vehicles.
Providing fleet inductions for staff receiving new or replacement vehicles.
Ensuring all trucks meet statutory regulations, COF, WOF, electrical testing, crane testing, etc.

Organising repair and maintenance for the fleet (trucks, vans and ute's), maintaining fleet maintenance plans and compiling monthly fleet maintenance reports.

Handling day-to-day queries from staff and management regarding the vehicle fleet.
Maintaining and organising fuel card purchases, e fops and replacements.
Maintaining the vehicle database, fleet records and responding to enquiries from NZTA.
Providing fleet support to all Business Unit Managers to ensure fleet requirements meet departmental needs.
Presenting informative slide shows to all levels of staff regarding vehicle safety and maintenance and other vehicle related matters.
Reporting monthly on utilisation, miscellaneous expenses, total cost of ownership, infringements etc.

Understanding and implementing the company health and safety policy and taking reasonable care of own health and safety and the health and safety of others.

Setting a personal example on all matters of health and safety, influencing good practice and a strong HSE culture across the business and working towards highly effective worker participation practices.

About you

Technical qualifications or similar with relevant fleet management experience.
A thorough knowledge of commercial, passenger and EV vehicles.
Knowledge and understanding of statutory regulations and requirements for vehicle fleets.
Sufficient technical knowledge to liaise with suppliers and service providers.
Computer literacy.
Effective relationship building skills.
A solid level of problem-solving skills.
