About the role

Are you a bit of an excel guru that can translate complex performance data into clear, concise information that decision makers can act on? Then we are looking for you


As the Continuous Improvement Analyst you'll be part of a small but influential high performing team that contributes to Waikato Police helping make NZ to be the safest country.


This is a varied role; one minute you'll be providing performance data to a range of clients, then be involved in reviewing systems, activities and processes from frontline to support workgroups.


Mainly based at District Headquarters in Hamilton, you will also likely be visiting stations across the Waikato to help a range of teams understand their business and contribute to our goals of safe homes, safe roads and safe communities.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Insightful performance analysis and reporting
  • High quality, timely provision of advice on performance questions
  • Contributing to a high performing team and supporting continuous improvement activities and initiatives

  • Excel and Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with databases such as SAS Visual Analytics and Business Objects would be an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication capability is vital as you will be advising District leaders to frontline constables and liaising with teams at National Headquarters.


This role is set at Individual Contributor level, this means your key purpose is "to deliver or enable others to deliver Our Business".

We will ask you questions based on "How we will deliver Our Business - Core Competencies" and the appropriate role level, i.e.

Individual Contributor.


These questions will be unique and specific to the role, focusing on the aspects the hiring manager believes are most important for that position at the time.
