Are you an experienced people leader? We are looking for an outstanding individual who can provide inspiring and sound leadership to around 50 trade staff across our Substation (Electrical Fitters and Technicians) and Network Utilities (Cable Jointers, Civil Workers, Surveyors, Asset Inspectors and Cable Locators) teams, supporting the performance of our Supervisors to maintain a safe, competent and motivated workforce.


You will report directly to the General Manager WEL Services and have responsibility for delivering commercially successful repairs, maintenance and construction services across our network.


About you


This role requires a combination of technical, commercial and people management knowledge and skills that will ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to a high-quality standard.

A collaborative working style is key to the success of this role, along with the agility to juggle a range of responsibilities.


You will need to have a solid understanding of the electricity industry and bring with you a tertiary level electrical qualification and extensive experience, particularly with a focus on underground and substation networks.

You will already be a safety leader, an expert in industry safety and electrical safety statutory requirements and understand what it takes to create and maintain a high value safety culture in a high-risk industry.
