  • About the Role
The
maternity services at Christchurch Women's Hospital are specialised
to provide care for women who have medical problems or are experiencing
complications in their pregnancy. It is staffed 24 hours a day. Our Maternity
ward has 45 beds and a very high turn over of patients. Our ward is fast paced
and can be at times physically demanding.
This
Hospital Aide position plays a key role in the effective functioning of the
ward. We have a high turnover of patients and work within a fast-paced
environment. We are looking for a Hospital Aide to assist Midwifery and Nursing
staff with patient care whilst maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting
nursing staff with patient cares

  • Keeping the ward tidy and organised
  • Ordering and restocking of supplies
  • Liaising with central supplyYou will
enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team, have excellent interpersonal
and organisational skills, a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to
work well under pressure.
