Operations Manager

Chinese herbal products import and retail company in Auckland is seeking an experienced or qualified operations manager to join our team.

This is a full-time role with minimum 30 hours per week.

To be successful you should have:either three years' work experience or tertiary qualification in business management. knowledge on Chinese herbal products would be an advantage, but not essential.

Operations Manager main duties & responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for all aspects of the operational management of our retail stores by maintaining a high level of operational excellence, customer service delivery and compliance.
  • Establish and update store operational standards, quality control systems or guidelines.
  • Review stock levels and order products as needed.
  • Establish and update purchasing policies, negotiate with suppliers on quality, pricing, and delivery terms.
  • Plan and oversee marketing promotional events or displays to maximize sales.
  • Maintain financial records and reports, and conduct forecasts or budgeting tasks.
  • Set and adjust prices for existing and new products.
  • Manage staff recruitment, training, and monitor performance.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and address any complaints promptly.
  • Ensure all stores comply with legal health and safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Director.
