Introduction:


Victoria Mt Eden Limited, trading as Wesley Home and Care Mt Eden, provides an exceptional level of care along with life-quality enhancements all under one roof, including a hair and beauty salon, a restaurant dining lounge, and three additional lounge areas for the residents to enjoy.

Currently, we are seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to join our team.

Key Task & Responsibilities:

  • Accompany and assist our residents with their daily activities
  • Prepare meals and drinks for our residents
  • Arrange various social activities
  • Tidy, clean and sanitise our residents' rooms and other public areas in the rest home
  • Facilitate personal hygiene and dressing tasks
  • Provide our residents with companionship, friendship and emotional support
  • Assist our residents with their mobility if needed

The minimum qualification and work experience requirements:

  • Relevant NZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification or higher,
    OR
  • At least one year of relevant work experience

  • Be supportive, understanding and caring
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be practical, organized and responsible
  • Friendly and helpful
  • Be able to work well under pressure
  • Be able to relate to people from different cultures and backgrounds
  • Be able to work night shifts and weekends
