We are currently seeking a New Zealand Vocationally Registered (or overseas equivalent) Psychiatrist who is versatile, flexible and has a passion for working in a team approach with tangata whaiora who have high needs and have been involved in the justice system.

With a new-build adult inpatient facility currently in the planning stages and the prospect of close liaison with the Department of Corrections, we are offering an opportunity to be at the forefront of innovative, quality practice in mental health service delivery.

  • You are:
  • A Psychiatrist who is vocationally registered, or are eligible for vocational registration with the

Medical Council of New Zealand.
  • A Psychiatrist who has experience of either acute or consultation liaison work
  • Are versatile, flexible and have a passion for working in a team approach
  • Are excited about and willing to contribute to, and participate in change
  • Are passionate about eliminating health inequities for Māori people***
