We are looking for an ECE Services Manager who is an innovative and values driven leader capable of leading two early childhood services in Tairāwhiti.


About the Role


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager to lead two teams in implementing our Education Practice Framework where Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnership and strong values underpin thoughtful and intentional pedagogy which empowers all tamariki.

As the ECE Services Manager you will ensure a stimulating curriculum that responds to the aspirations and needs of children, whānau and community is provided and documented.

The role has a strong leadership emphasis where you'll be required to coach and support the teams to reach their full potential.

The ECE Services Manager will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day running of both centres and their operational functions.

Sound organisational and management skills are needed to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the centres.

  • A Qualification in early childhood or primary education, and current NZ teacher registration and certification
  • 46 years centre manager experience
  • Skills in curriculum leadership
  • Strong people leadership and operational knowledge
  • Good understanding of Te Reo and Tikanga Māori and willingness to continue to grow in this area
  • Strong business acumen with evidence of growth strategy and financial management
  • Relevant postgraduate or management qualification is an advantage
  • Understanding of and ability to lead implementation of Tiriti Based Practice
  • NZ residency and a clean criminal record
  • Ability to foster an environment reflective of our values
