About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Asset and Compliance Manager to take responsibility for CMM's assets, including a 108-bed rest home and hospital, over 100 social houses, more than 60 vehicles and various offices. You will develop an asset management database to record all asset information and manage the standards for property, operating assets and equipment of CMM so that they remain fit for purpose and compliant.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
The successful candidate will have a diverse range of skills, knowledge and experience that make them effective in this role. CMM are looking for someone who can leverage the culmination of these attributes and apply them astutely across the following essential key responsibilities:
Finance
- Determine budgets for asset maintenance and renewals
- Monitor expenditure to ensure financial health within budgetary constraints
- Provide regular budget forecasts and financial reports as required
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment of asset management strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and colleagues
- Address and resolve stakeholder concerns promptly and professionally
Asset Management
- Oversee the lifecycle management of company assets, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposal
- Implement best practice for asset tracking, performance monitoring and optimization
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all assets are maintained
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all assets and activities comply with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards
- Perform audits and identify and address issues as required
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and update policies/procedures accordingly
Health and Safety
- Promote a culture of health and safety by role modelling best practice and ensuring CMM's Health and Safety policy is adhered to at all times
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation methods
- Ensure all assets are maintained and operated in a safe manner
Other
- Expertise in the use of Microsoft suite of applications
- Willingness to be called out of hours when rostered
- Practical skills and physical fitness as you may be required to do physical tasks from time to time
- The ability and desire to show cultural sensitivity, awareness and understanding of diversity
- Understanding of, and commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi
Qualifications/Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- 5+ Years' experience as an asset manager or similar role
- Proficiency in asset management software and tools (SPM Software)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Trade or Engineering qualification (desirable but not essential)
