The Opportunity

Te Whatu Ora MidCentral has preschool, school, adolescent and hospital dental services which can include assessment and treatment under general anaesthetic/ IV sedation.

We currently have a permanent, full-time position available for a highly motivated Coordinator, Hospital Dental Service. As Coordinator you will be responsible for providing the day-to-day operational organisation and oversight of service provision and processes. This encompasses administration, clinical and leadership duties providing support to the Dental Assistants and the multidisciplinary team. Clinical duties such as chair side assistance across all dental procedures within and external to the Dental Unit is included in the role.

We are seeking:

  • Minimum of 5 years previous dental chair side experience.
  • Proven effective interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate successfully with a wide range of people
  • Effective team player
  • Displays a positive and committed attitude to work
  • Excellent organisational skills
