The Initial Training team at RNZPC is looking for dynamic, professional, motivated Employees who want to develop their coaching, mentoring and leaderships skills as an Instructor
  • Tactical Skills
focusing on either Firearms and Defensive Tactics.

These are challenging and rewarding roles critical to the future of Police and an opportunity to contribute to the development of the next generation of Police.

You will work in a supportive collegial environment where recruit training is the priority, and you will have development opportunities across the Initial Training work group.

You don't have to be an expert (however experience is advantageous and preferred). This position would suit someone who is experienced in coaching/mentoring new staff and wants to develop their leadership skills.

  • Experience and passion for coaching and mentoring staff and a commitment to excellence.
  • Being accountable for our performance, and taking responsibility for our contribution and development of upandcoming staff

You will have

  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Experience in in Firearms, Defensive Tactics training whilst not essential is preferred
  • There is an expectation that after training you will meet the required competency standards.
  • Coaching and Training experience in a professional and/or military environment

  • The position offers opportunity to cross train in each of the disciplines (Defensive Tactics, Firearms and Driving Section)
  • There are multiple positions available
  • Successful applicants must reside in Wellington
