We are looking for a fulltime Assistant Reservations Manager to deliver exceptional services to our guests.

About the Role

As Assistant Reservations Manager, you will serve on the Guest Services and Reservations team to meet Guest needs upon arrival and departure and to provide a comfortable stay. You will work with the Cluster Commercial Director and Commercial Manager to maximize Auckland, Taupo and Karaka's hotel's room revenue and growing the market share, conducting competitive analyses, maintaining group and transient inventory controls, maintaining distribution channel data integrity & assisting with managing the reservation team's.

Other tasks include:

  • Inform and report through to the Commercial Director on a daily basis regarding operations and team matters
  • Manage the operation of the reservation team and ensure a high level of customer service is consistently maintained
  • Ensure all charges are allocated in accordance with the hotel credit policy
  • Review daily business reports in collaboration with the Finance Team.
  • Complete EOM Owners reporting
  • Ensure what is booked will arrive, it is key that all non-guaranteed reservation are followed up
  • Assist the Commercial Manager & Director to ensure that commercial management techniques of availability control are applied to achieve a maximisation of rooms' sales and revenue for the hotel. Ensure availability is reviewed as per required standards and all restrictions are recorded.

What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years relevant work experience in a 5-star hotel environment, preferably as Assistant Reservations Manager
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Accountable and resilient
  • Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and product knowledge of the local area
  • A friendly and outgoing personality with a proactive, "can do" approach
  • Well organised and attention to detail

  • Knowledge in Hilton's OnQ PMS System, R&I Management System, iDeaS Rate Evaluation, Delphi Salesforce
