The opportunity


Due to an internal promotion we have an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer to join the Purchase 2 Pay procurement team, that sits within the wider Finance team.

You will provide accounts payable and data entry assistance to the Purchase to Pay team.

You will undertake the required accounts payable transactions for receipted purchase orders, gain confirmation receipt for goods and services and check correctness of additions and GST calculations.

As well as enter invoices/credit notes against supplier accounts in the ERP system and to gain approvals for posting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Match invoices to receipted PO's and organise approvals for those without.
  • Check expense claims for receipts and GST calculations.
  • Check credit notes are correct on the ERP returns notifications.
  • Reconcile supplier statements for trade accounts to the a/p ledger.
  • Request outstanding invoices/credit notes/action queries.
  • Reconcile payment file against invoices/credit notes.
  • Obtain approvals and upload payment file for processing and checking reports.

Your skills and experience:

It is essential for you to hold:

  • Advanced computer literacy in MS Office suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and organisation skills
  • The ability to multitask and handle a high volume of workload
It is advantageous if you have experience using an ERP system and hold an Undergraduate degree in Commerce/Business.
