Operations Manager, Auckland

Citycare Water are going places and we're looking for a talented Operations Manager to steer our Auckland Water team to new heights.


We are seeking a leader of leaders, someone who has proven experience in empowering and getting the best out of your teams, steering a specialist business to a successful future.


As the Operations Manager your primary focus is being responsible for the profitability and management of operational and financial performance and delivery outcomes within the WaterCare contracts.


This includes maximising of staff and their learning and development, asset management and achieving set goals in health and safety, quality, and environmental management.

Some involvement in tendering and assisting the division to achieve targets identified in the strategic plan, will also be required.


Experience

  • Extensive technical and practical experience in relevant contracts (5 years minimum)
  • Proven staff and asset management experience (2 years minimum)
  • Specialist technical knowledge in a relevant field and extensive experience in commercial contracting is advantageous

Skills and Qualifications

  • An appropriate management or technical qualification, preferably at tertiary level, NZCE Civil or equivalent
  • Financial, marketing, negotiating, strategic planning and change management skills
  • Project management skills
  • Strong HR and people management skills
  • Sounds computer skills


Industry knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in this field is desirable, alongside the ability to drive and maintain operational improvements and efficiencies.

Working knowledge of the Health and Safety in Employment Act would be advantageous.
