Mō te tūnga - About the role

We seek a naturally curious and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Intelligence and Insight Specialist, playing a critical role supporting the design and delivery of best practice quantitative survey research using your data science talents.

You will be responsible for analysing data and supporting our senior data scientist to deliver actionable insights for business decision makers.

In this role, you will be a part of the transformation of our Customer Measurement programme into an integrated real-time Voice of the Customer (VOC) programme.

Your key responsibility is to assist our senior data scientist with the integration of organisational data with survey data, as well as the use of various data science techniques such as regression, structural equation modelling and segmentation to understand the what's and the whys behind the data.

You will collaborate with a diverse range of people, teams, and customers during the execution of projects. This will require you to communicate technical data and statistical analysis in layman's terms to non-technical people. Attention to details is a must to identify inconsistencies in the data.

We want someone who is passionate about understanding the positive and negative impacts of how tax and social policy initiatives, products, and services affect customer behaviour and experience.

Mōu - About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Three or more years experience in quantitative survey research design and implementation
  • Experience handling and analysing and integrating data from varying sources
  • Comprehension of data integration, sampling, and data science techniques such as regression, structural equation modelling, segmentation, and weighting techniques
  • Experience helping prepare reports and presentations using engaging storytelling techniques
  • Experience in internal and external communications with the ability to communicate complex issues in simple terms
  • Sound interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage with a diverse range of people and cultures
  • Proven ability to manage projects at pace using project management frameworks
  • A customer centric attitude
  • Strong Excel capabilities and experience with Snowflake are essential
  • Experience with Qualtrics or similar survey platforms, and SAS, R Suite, and Q Software is an advantage
