You will be playing a key role contributing to the delivery of projects while planning for environmental considerations, in major projects and programs, with a focus across critical infrastructure.

You will be part of a passionate team of environmental and sustainability advisors, being the voice to ensure environmental outcomes are considered and delivered upon.


In this role, you will be supported professionally both locally and nationally, working with a humble yet passionate team, who together care about both how they support environmental outcomes in project delivery, as well as your professional development.

You will be part of our Environmental and Sustainability Advisory Group who are a nationwide practice, working as a tight knit team of trusted advisors, scientists, sustainability consultants, environmental specialists, and environmental managers committed to achieving great environmental outcomes.

As a team we strive to provide sustainable and pragmatic solutions to contribute to making everyday better.

Ko wai koe | About you


As well as being familiar with environmental regulations in Aotearoa, you will also have strong relationship building skills, with the ability to connect with a broad spectrum of people.

You will be working closely and collaboratively with clients, project partners, contractors, designers and engineers, clients and so will be self-confident in your own abilities.

You will also be solution focused, practical and pragmatic. You will also possess the courage to question and challenge the status-quo to deliver great environmental outcomes.

This is a broad role with career development opportunities, where ideally you will be:

  • Motivated by playing an active part in the broader Beca environmental and sustainability team, working collaboratively across projects and disciplines
  • A 'people person', with the ability to connect and build relationships, working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams with excellent communication skills, with clients, colleagues and consultants
  • Selfconfident, have a practical mindset, critically minded, a problem solver, displaying a growth mindset
  • Tertiary qualified with a degree in an environmental related field
  • Experience in environmental management and compliance, including erosion and sediment control
