The "City of Sails" will set the backdrop for this boutique upper-upscale hotel, drawing inspiration from local artists for its design, service, amenities, food and beverage.

The 225-room hotel will be part of a mixed-use development in Auckland Central, with stunning views of the city and Auckland's iconic harbour.

To help bring Hotel Indigo Auckland to life, we're on the hunt for a Finance and Purchasing Assistant.

This role will support the Manager of Finance and Business Support, playing a crucial role in supporting the team assisting with managing financial transactions, and concurrently handling purchasing duties for the hotel.


A little taste of your day-to-day

  • Being part of this preopening team will see you setting this beautiful new hotel up ready to receive its first guests
  • Assist in managing financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable plus setting up new suppliers and debtors in our systems
  • Work with our Finance and Business Support Manager to support IHG and owner group audits and preparing reporting requirements
  • Supporting internal control checks in compliance with our company policies
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely and costeffective procurement, generating purchase orders for goods and services in accordance with company policies
  • Coordinate with departments to confirm procurement needs and specifications
  • Assist with monitoring and managing inventory levels to optimise stock levels and minimise waste
  • Ensure purchasing activities comply with relevant regulations and policies

What we need from you

  • You may be someone already familiar with the world of hotels, and wanting to grow into a financial role
  • Education and understanding in Accounting or Finance; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with financial software and tools
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, you'll pride yourself in your interpersonal abilities
  • Must speak fluent English
  • Full working rights within New Zealand with no restrictions
