The CXO we are looking for will be working in the Lending Focus Area, working with existing CXOs and teams working on our lending portfolio.

The portfolio encompasses work to maintain regulatory compliance, support for lending operations and several high priority initiatives to modernise our approach to lending and enhance the customer's experience.


What is a CXO?
A Customer Experience Owner is called different things in different organizations - like Product Owner or Product Director, but at ASB it's someone who:

  • Builds and maintains a clear understanding of customer needs and continuously communicates the roadmap to stakeholders
  • Brings out valuable, engaging stories into a living roadmap
  • Collaborates with our internal customers to create and maintain wellgroomed backlogs
  • Conveys the strategic vision and the Platform's goals to the squads, ensures this is upheld throughout delivery and helps the squads make decisions on innovation and prioritisation

What we're looking for:

We're not needing deep domain knowledgewe just need good Product Leaders who can lead squads around "WHAT" and "WHY".

The baseline of what we need is:

  • Technical Product Ownership experience in an agile environment, delivering services and products
  • Sharp commercial skills to lead stakeholder discussions around prioritization for their products and services
  • The understanding of the following would be beneficial to this role (but we are happy to train someone who is motivated)
  • The strategic and operational importance of the lending platforms to Banking
  • Digital lending (our strategic target state) and lending technologies and platforms
  • Availability, Resilience and Cyber concepts
  • Modern technology paradigms including APIs, cloud, event driven architectures, and microservices.

While these roles are based at our C: Drive tech-hub (an award-winning building in the North Shore) we have heaps of flexibility with our squads only coming into the office for - 2 days a week.

So, we have heaps of working options, depending on the style you're looking for.
