What we do**The Christchurch Opioid Recovery Service (CORS) located at Hillmorton Hospital provides specialised clinical work with consumers experiencing co-existing alcohol and/or drug dependence and moderate to severe mental health needs.

We are seeking a Community Mental Health Nurse who will add value, expertise and energy to this stable and cohesive team.

Our motivated and dedicated team works collaboratively with a consumer centred approach.

_ The Role:
_ Where you fit in**In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Provide comprehensive assessment to consumers within the service;
  • Provide planned nursing care in partnership with the patient to achieve identified health outcomes;
  • Provide appropriate health education to patients and family/whanau within a nursing framework;
  • The maintenance and advancement of your own professional development and clinical knowledge.

Your skills will include:

  • The ability to work autonomously with a degree of flexibility to meet the individual needs of your clients;
  • Registration with your respective Council of New Zealand with a current APC and mental health scope of practice is essential;
  • Previous experience in alcohol and drug or mental health;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with a caring and compassionate nature will see you excel in this area;
  • Excellent time management skills to effectively manage your case load.
